FREEMARK ABBEY NAPA CAB
Cabernet Sauvignon
750 ML (Standard)
Napa Valley,
United States
Pairs well with Beef , Deer
$61.99
A dark ruby red wine, with complex oak with flavors of dark berry fruit, cocoa, and Herbs de Provence. The body is full with supple tannins, a soft entry, and dark cherry flavors that develop from start to finish. For over half a century, Napa Valley has enjoyed a reputation interchangeable with premium wine. It has gained this reputation for its wine grapes in California for a reason: the amazing complexity that skilled winemakers can coax out of it when grown in optimum locations. They know all about this in the great, old chateaux of Bordeaux, as well as at many younger, but equally prestigious, wineries in Napa Valley. The world’s best wine grapes are grown in these respective regions.
This blend is a great handprint of the Napa Valley with fruit from some of the most prestigious vineyards: Oakville Reach, Keyes, Stage Coach, Bosche, and Sycamore. Valley floor vineyards are well-drained loam and clay loams, formed by alluvial deposits. The western mountain topsoils are shallow and acidic with low fertility, while the eastern mountain topsoils are more volcanic, with poor fertility and incredible minerality.
