      Product Description

      Experience the intense flavor inspired by the dark fire of Guatemala's volcanoes and its Mayan culture with Ron Zacapa Edici+ón Negra Rum. Our wonderfully complex, 86 proof rum is a dense and well-balanced spirit. The complex craft is a flavorsome explosion of smoky tasting notes; combined with hints of chocolate and dried fruits that leads into a smooth and persistent finish. This intense, mahogany liquid is aged with an adapted Sistema Solera process in select barrels, including re-charred oak casks. This creates a rich, dark rum with a smoky intensity and daring flavor that is truly a work of art. The Edición Negra Rum provides a supreme character that should be appreciated neat or over ice. Includes one 86 proof, 750 mL bottle of Ron Zacapa Edición Negra Rum. Our rum is masterfully crafted in Guatemala. Aged to perfection in the highlands of Quetzaltenango, this is where Zacapa Rum develops its complex flavor and character. Using a process of patience, richness, quality and master blending, the liquid is aged in casks that previously held bourbon whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximenez wines. It is then aged for a second time in charred bourbon oak casks. The final result is an artisanal rum wrapped in a hand-woven Mayan petate band to epitomize our focus on tradition and quality.
