While Guyana was once home to many distilleries making rums from local Demerara sugar, consolidation has brought all the country’s rum-making capacity under Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL). This has to be one best at both mixing and sipping. It won't compete with the expensive stuff but for us normal folks it's a must buy.
