It is a lovely vintage for white Burgundies, offering a combination of fresh, lively fruit and classical Puligny minerality. Pernot's wines always taste perfect right out of the gate, but they all blossom even more with just a year or two in the bottle, even the humble Bourgogne Blanc. The ’16 is bright, quite floral, with notes of ripe pear and apple. Round and textured on the palate, with flavors of orchard fruits and a touch of vanilla. Nicely structured with a long, fresh finish.
